Sanitation Awareness Day
Conducting meetings of SMCS/SMDCs/PTAs. Importance of hygiene and health and importance of hand washing, use of masks and social distancing among children, parents and teachers and to encourage and motivate them for cleanliness and hygiene at school and home.
Teachers should make a quick assessment to monitor the sanitation facilities in every corner of the school/institution and make a proposal/plan for maintenance of the facilities.
Adaptation of WASH facilities (hand washing facilities, daily cleaning and decontamination, use of toilets, use of water facilities, ventilation, waste management etc.) can be discussed with local representatives. Adequate clean and separate toilets for girls and boys, soap, handwash and clean water, disinfectant, certain Incorporation of cleaning staff etc. for the item under Jal Jeevan Mission water supply connection in schools can be verified/reviewed.
Under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan – Key the Rain 2024, plans can be made to improve the existing status of rainwater harvesting systems in schools and increase their capacity.

Community Awareness Day
All teachers can visit nearby villages to address local communities on sanitation with a special focus on sustaining toilet use and undertaking waste management activities in their areas. They can also sensitize the local community to prevent wastage of water resources and make them aware of water conservation and ongoing Jal Shakti campaign.
Every school should celebrate Teacher’s Day properly
Teachers and students should propagate the theme of Swachhta Pakhwadi along with representatives among people in local areas.
Number of participation of teachers in awareness activities on Google Tracker and uploading photos, videos and promotional material on Google Drive.
