Second semester examination for assessment of students studying in Government, Granted and Independent Primary Schools of all mediums of the State dt. To be held from 04/04/2024 to 23/04/2024. A uniform schedule is enclosed herewith (Annexure-A) for consistency across the State. The following instructions are to be observed for the Sadar Examination and the respective District/Corporation/Municipal Education Committees are to ensure that the work is done accordingly.
The standard and subject-wise pattern for the second semester examinations of class 3 to 8 will be prepared from the state level and given to all the district education and training buildings (Diets).
Those who are good readers recognize the word automatically (even a new word) and fluently. So they can focus on tasks like understanding the meaning, understanding the essence of the lesson, connecting the links, drawing conclusions and using foreknowledge.Identifying the word as a picture Logographic reading): At this early stage children recognize some words in the form of objects, impressions or photos and memorize them like a figure.
They also identify their name or item / organization name (e.g. Amul) or label in this way. At this stage children do not need to have knowledge of the alphabet or script. Phase of decoding: The ability to pronounce a word as a sound from print (text, imprint) after knowing the relationship between letter and sound is called decoding.
This stage involves the process of recognizing the sounds of different letters and letters of a word, combining sounds, speaking the whole word together and understanding its meaning (if the word is familiar). If systematic work is done at this stage, the children will quickly finish reading fluently.
At this stage of fluent reading, the word recognition ability is so developed that the child recognizes any word as soon as he sees it without breaking it down into letters. This condition occurs when the child has read the relevant word over and over again, decoding it so many times that the word has become a picture-visual word for him / her and has been arranged in his / her mind.
