Children are encouraged to learn from sources other than textbooks and teachers such as family members, community members, newspapers, books, etc.  This shows that textbooks are not the only source of information.  Children are encouraged to learn the past from the elders to develop an understanding of history.  These activities will connect parents and community members with the school and increase teachers’ knowledge of the child’s background.  Examples are an important part of books.  

         The purpose of the activities and questions in the book is not only to test the child’s knowledge, but also to provide the child with an opportunity to express himself.  The child should be given enough time to work on these activities and questions.  Don’t move forward until each child has their own pace.  Every teacher should develop his / her imagination by using his / her teaching style and local contexts to evaluate his / her students, the child should evaluate the activities done in and out of the classroom.  Evaluation is a continuous and comprehensive process.  Check out the child Kenny’s observations, questions asked, drawn, discussed, written in groups, etc.
