FIT India Mission has conceptualized FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 to commemorate the 75th Independence Day – “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Nationwide campaign will be on the concept of “Physical/Virtual Run” in continuum from 13th August to 2nd October 2021 to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The concept behind this run is that “It can be run anywhere, anytime!”.

Fit India Freedom Run to culminate on Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October, with nationwide Fit India Plog Run.

Subject: Matter of organizing “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0” under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.  In view of the above subject and context, to state that the “Fit India” program has been implemented by the Government of India.  

Our country is celebrating the 9th anniversary of Independence Day as “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”.  “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0” is being launched on 13th August 2021 by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.  

In the above context, MoE has been asked by the Government of India to organize “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0” from 13th August to 2nd October, 2021.  The purpose of this program is to raise awareness about health care, walking for a healthy body, running, light exercise as well as doing regular yogic activities.  

In this regard, “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0” from 13.08.2021 to 02.10.2021 in all primary, secondary and higher secondary government, grant aided non-granted, KGBV, ashram schools, model schools and model day schools in the state.  FREEDOM RUN 2.O “.  

Regarding this program, all EIs, Lecturers, BRC / CRC Coordinator Principals, Teachers are also asked to join this “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0” in maximum number.  The designated District Nodalshree regarding FIT India program under “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.o” guides the BRC / CRC Coordinator friends and asks them to make necessary arrangements from your level to make this program a success.  (Currently organizing these activities keeping in view the guideline of the Government in view of the Corona epidemic) Details for enclosure-registration

HOW TO REGISTER:-

Registration Details for “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0”

> All Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Government, Granted, Non-Granted, KGBV, Ashram School Model Schools and Model Day Schools and School Teachers of the State for “FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.o”  Register.  

> To register, first search http://fitindia.gov.in/freedom-run-2.0 in a web browser or then upload the photos and videos of the event for Individual Registration and after filling in the required details, the certificate can be downloaded.  Or – Click Register as an Oraganizer to register as ORGANIZER.  .  

– Then fill in the details applicable to the other option shown on Register As. Why GNUP.  

> After SIGNUP / LOGIN, after filling in the required details, attach a photo of the events you have done and upload it.  

> After filling in all the details, you will be able to download your FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 certificate.


FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 

The Fitness Program for children focuses on developing motor skills, knowledge of physical education and Sports Skills, which is implemented and evaluated in a progressive and developmentally appropriate manner.
Successful participation in specific physical activities requires the acquisition and mastery of appropriate fundamental and specialised skills (e.g. overhead strike with a racket, backhand throw with a disc, in-step kick with a ball, front-crawl, stroke with bat/racquet, a specific step with dance and music). 

At primary class 1-3, children should acquire Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) leaving the learning of specific physical activities to later stages. FMS provide the building blocks for many physical activities, such as playing games, dance, and sport. Locomotor, Manipulative & Body Management abilities are key to success in most sports and physical activities. The following are the abilities of children in class 1-3 which need to be measured and tracked which are important for controlling the body in various situations:
1. Body Composition (BMI)
2. Coordination (Plate Tapping)
3. Balance (Flamingo Balance) 
Yoga has the ability to change our perspectives of life. More keenness for life, genuine and natural
sense of feel good, renewed sense of health and wellbeing are some of the benefits of Yoga. It’s
therapeutic approaches and principles represent the essence of a broad holistic dimension to
health and disease. The practice of Yoga facilitates mind and body coordination, emotional
equanimity, intellectual clarity to the practitioners
 Environmental Consideration
a. Adequate precautionary measures related to adequate hydration and proper clothing
should be taken before undertaking physical exercises in hot humid, cold & high altitude
areas. 
Adequate rest, quality sleep, Nutrition & Hydration status be ensured before undertaking
exercise protocol as an essential safety prerequisite.
c. Sustained and heavy exercises are to be avoided in Hot & Humid environment. Appropriate modification should be carried out in exercise protocols keeping in view of
the prevailing local environmental conditions be undertaken (extreme weather conditions).
