The role of self-study study-material in distance learning Effective self-study study-material is indispensable in the distance learning system.  Since the authors, professors and students of this study material are far away from each other and sometimes in a position where they can never meet, such study material needs to be smooth and effective. 


 The study material for distance learning should have the ability to stimulate the intellectual thinking of the student and all the necessary study activities.  This material should be able to adequately guide the student in the pursuit of general and specific objectives of the curriculum.  


The self-study material is required to include all the things suggested in the syllabus.  Several types of planning are used to achieve effective study;  So that the student can acquire knowledge.  Develop intellectual and mental skills and make necessary changes in behavior and attitudes.  


That is why the assessment of the student is also covered in the textbook.  The form of educational activities used in the self-study study material of distance learning is related to which of the cognitive, emotional or psychological purposes of that education?  Based on it.  


These objectives lead to the attainment of knowledge, intellectual skills and psycho-physical skills in the future, respectively.  The student can be encouraged to acquire, use and express the knowledge gained.  The purpose of intellectual skills can be achieved through teaching materials designed based on the foreknowledge and experiences of the students and paves the way for the acquisition of innovative knowledge.

Study – Study planning is required in the form of self-study project and feedback in the material.  Educational activities related to physical skills should be pictorial and then appropriate study should be planned.  Education activities planned for a change in behavior and attitudes should be of interest and reflect the benefits and needs of this change.  This should be followed by a proper study of the adoption of new approaches and the proper study of the related process.
