This scheme to assist small entrepreneurs provides assistance in the form of tool kit of additional tools/equipment to create adequate income and self-employment opportunities for economically backward sections. This scheme has been introduced since 1995 to replace the earlier Swarojgar scheme to improve the economic condition of persons/artisans living below the poverty line. This includes tools/tools support toolkit for 28 types of businesses like feria, vegetable seller, carpentry, etc. to create self-employment opportunities for people from weaker sections of the society whose annual family income is below the prescribed limit for carrying out small trades/businesses. Income Limit

It is mandatory for rural beneficiaries to be included in the poverty line list of the District Rural Development Department. This beneficiary does not have to submit proof of income.

Applicant’s family income should be upto Rs.120000/- for rural area and upto Rs.150000/- for urban area, Taluka Mamlatdar or Municipal Chief Officer or authorized officer of Municipal Corporation in metropolitan area has to submit income proof.
