Preschool Education:
The framework for the adoption of holistic education recognizes the need and importance of preschool education as outlined in multiple research studies. Quality pre-school education not only enhances the progress and achievement of children in schools, but it also lays the foundation for future development and evolution of education and develops a positive attitude and desire to learn so providing quality preschool experience to children is imperative.

Under the whole education, the preschool program is known as the decisive component of the Hala Padhe Bharat, Badhe Bharat ”program. Which focuses on basic language and literacy basic education. Thus elementary standard (class 1 to 2) will be known as preschool. The activity will support the efforts of the state government in providing education as a whole, preschool education in schools. To this end, co-space in primary schools will be assisted where possible, curriculum development will be provided where possible in association with the Ministry / Department of Women and Child Development.
The duration of the preschool program for children from 6 to 8 years will be two years. In case of inclusion of children in the age group of 6-7 years in Oganwadi, children in the age group of 6-7 years will be considered as preschool children. According to Aadhaar Dias 2016-17, out of 14 lakh schools with primary departments, 3 lakh or 3% share belongs to the pre-primary department.

12 crore children are enrolled in the pre-primary department out of which only 25 crores are in government schools. If the state government wants to provide preschool education in a formal primary school, then the state government’s plan is to hold a session.
The scheme provides safe and secure structured guidelines including hygiene facilities, proper curriculum development, teaching activities, pedagogical practices and evaluation, professional development of teachers and community participation and engagement.
The plan focuses on curriculum development, capacity building of Anganwadi workers, guidance and support by school teachers and educators, coordination and integration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development to enhance teaching materials. Emphasis has been placed on strengthening preschools. To strengthen preschools, Rs. Three lakh is given to the States and Union Territories.
