 Health and Safety regarding reopening of schools will be applied as per local conditions and requirements.  
All areas, furniture, stationery, cooking, washrooms, laboratories, etc. will be properly cleaned and disinfected and fresh air will be circulated in the indoor spaces.
Schools are encouraged to create their own SOPs as per the guidelines issued by the States / UTs for the following compliance.  
Seating plans, entry and exit arrangements and schedules will be prepared, ceremonies and celebrations will be held. 
All students and staff must wear face masks/covers at all times, especially when in the classroom or in a group.  
Marking will be done at an appropriate place for compliance with safety protocol and instruction will be given. 
Consent of parents/guardians of children will be sought before coming to schools by State / UT.  
Students wishing to study from home will be allowed
Students, parents, community members and hostel staff will be made aware of the difficulties related to Covid-19 and the guidelines issued. 
Changes in the academic calendar for all standards will be made keeping in view the breaks and examinations for all students before the school’s resume.  
The availability of prescribed textbooks should be ensured. 
Pre-availability of trained health assistants/nurses/doctors and mentors should be ensured for monitoring the physical and mental health of the students. 
Regular health check-ups of students and teachers should be conducted.

State and district helpline, nearest Kovid Center and other contact details to address the health status of students, parents and teachers in case of disaster
Attendance and sick leave policies should be easily enforced. Action should be taken as per the prescribed protocol as soon as the dubious case of COVID-19 is known. 
Availability of equipment and learning materials tailored to the needs of special needs children.  Nutritional needs will be taken care of to boost the immunity of children during the Covid-19 epidemic. 
States / UTs are advised to provide hot cooked lunch or similar food safety allowances even during school holidays and summer holidays.  Emphasis is placed on adhering to the rules with proper distance as well as adequate attention to food, safety, health and hygiene.
