Every teacher needs to know when communication is effective and when it is not effective.  They need to do the same for their students and they need to be motivated to improve their communication skills. For a teacher, they need to make sure that the students understand what they are communicating.
It is very important to explain well the task assigned in the communication and to explain what is expected by the task assigned.  Their performance becomes much easier when students are well aware of what is expected of them.

Effective communication includes skills such as verbal and non-verbal expression, effective listening as well as appropriate feedback.  Being a good listener is a prerequisite for being an effective teacher.  Therefore, in an ideal learning environment the teacher should raise questions and then actively and carefully listen to what the students want to say and respond accordingly.

Coordinating with students’ experience: Another important way to show empathy or sympathy with students is to coordinate with the expression of their experience.  The words of the students.  Trying to keep up with the students’ experiences through the ups and downs of the voice, the whole gesture, etc., as well as responding to the same situation makes it easier to express empathy.

By focusing on the language and the particular type of words that the student uses frequently, his feelings can be understood.  For example, if he repeatedly says, “I understand what you mean.”  Using words like ‘it is clear’, ‘it is clearly visible’ etc. indicates that the person is using the visual mode in his expression.
Teachers’ reflective activity for empathy: A friend of yours or a character coming to your favorite TV channel has recently been going through a tragic or traumatic event (such as the death of a loved one or bereavement of a friend), of which you are now witnessing yourself.  Put it in place – try to feel the person’s feelings and try to evaluate what he thinks from his perspective.  This process will help you to better understand how the person is feeling.
