The ‘Wash in School’ program has been implemented in the schools of the state as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya’ campaign for the effective implementation of the campaign launched by the Government of India in the schools of the state. The School Hygiene Coefficient (SSG) application has been prepared in collaboration with UNICEF-Gujarat and ASCII-Hyderabad to make the ‘Wash in School’ program implemented in the schools of the state more effective as well as to evaluate it.

With the help of school hygiene coefficient (SSG) application by the head teacher of all the schools in your district, the basic information of their school with sufficient accuracy is given. You are asked to give necessary instructions from your class to upload by 30/7/2050. In addition, all CRC co. And BRC Co. has been trained by UNICEF – Gujarat and ASCII – Hyderabad in February 2020, so all the schools in your district should upload basic information in the SSG app within the time limit (by 30/7/2050),

ABOUT SSG :-
Benchmarking is the process of measuring performance and methods in key areas, comparing it to best practice that will lead to improvement in performance. The Benchmarking Framework compensates for 5 components, Water, Toilet, Handwashing, Operation and Maintenance and Behavior Change and Capacity Building which has been developed with 39 indicators. Under SSG, a user friendly mobile application with language options (English and Gujarati) has been developed to simplify the benchmarking program.
The app will be used for self-assessment surveys by schools and the accreditation of the survey will be conducted by the district and state coordinators. Schools will be selected and awarded on the basis of performance in 39 SVP indicators on 5 components i.e. Water, Toilet, Handwashing, Operation and Maintenance and Behavior Change and Capacity Building.
The web portal provides data dashboards and reports on the performance of state, district, block and individual schools. The portal also has a link to resource materials and e-learning modules for school teachers to complete and obtain a certificate.
Advanced wash compliance in schools which will get recognition to more schools under the Clean School Award The e-learning module has been implemented and so at least 7500 teachers are trained about wash in schools and get certification during the project period
All district and state coordinators to analyze performance And uses the data dashboard to support the decision to initiate improvements The application of improved educational results can be integrated into the SSA web portal due to behavioral change-drop-outs and reduction in absenteeism among stakeholders to improve diagonal health and hygiene.
Capacity building of appointees can be built on the application and the School Hygiene Action Plan (SSAP). SSAP On a prepared basis, resource consolidation will be done and improvements can be made. Good practices can be demonstrated on SSA Shagun, DSEL, MHRD portals.
