Surveys help children find, gather, and use the information to develop meaningful insights.  In most research and survey activities, children get information from people’s visits.  Encourage children to talk to the people around them, gather information, engage in activities related to the problem or task. 

 

 This teaches students first-hand experiences of problems and the problems around them.  Encourage children to prepare questions based on interviews themselves and report based on the information obtained.  Through communication with people as well as through interviews, they develop communication skills, formulating questions and asking questions, recording feedback, preparing reports, etc.

 

An important aspect of environmental education classrooms is that students express themselves freely.  The teacher should create a situation where every child can present without any hesitation.  Opportunities for expression may be verbal, pictorial, or otherwise.

 

  For example, when discussing water availability, students may be asked how they get water at home.  They may also be asked how they use water at different festivals in their family. They can also introduce it by writing, describing or drawing pictures.

 

  This raises awareness among the students about the socio-cultural environment as well as information about the various backgrounds prevailing, primary school children love handicrafts and acting activities.  Theater and drama offer the opportunity to present real-life characters and fictional characters that give children the key to understanding the intuition, values, opinions, tastes of these characters. 

 

 By placing children in a certain role they can better understand not only the different aspects of the subject, but also the characteristics in that regard.
