There is a lot of debate going on in many developed countries of the world about what should be the primary Shia in the context of the 21st century.  The keynote of all these discussions is that students should be given a holistic education in the new age and a holistic assessment should be made in them so that they can succeed in holistic development of their life in the new age.  
It is very necessary.  Education is a process of Human Empowerment.  Through which human life can be made better as well as advanced.  In addition to this, one of the common goals is holistic development.  Further education.  Excellent quality of life can be achieved through  Omnipresent.  Physical and health development, mental development, social and economic development, professional and environmental development, civicism among the people as a result of education.  And makes cultural development possible.   
This requires different academic subjects, co-educational activities, assessment methods, etc.  The main responsibility for such holistic teaching and testing lies with teachers, principals, education managers and parents.  From time to time, there is also talk of evaluation in the Education Commissions.  
The National Education Policy 1986 recommended for the development of a continuous and holistic assessment system at the school level with an emphasis on the holistic development of the student.  GCERT has been working since June 2011 to ensure continuous implementation of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation.  In order to ensure effective implementation of this method in the state of Gujarat, an international educationist and former Director of UNESCO, Dr. Rabindrabhai Dave has been appointed at GCERT.  Committee formed.  
The members of the committee  Opinions of people involved in education under the guidance of Rabindramai Dave.  At the end of the deliberations, a practical framework of continuous and comprehensive assessment has been prepared to suit the local situation of the state.

A continuous and comprehensive evaluation is abbreviated as CCE which is known as ‘School-based comprehensive evaluation’ in the state of Gujarat.  So far only formal written examination has been preferred in the assessment.  While the weight of the written examination is reduced in the holistic assessment.  Here the teacher will have to use various tests (oral, written, and practical), observation, checklist, criteria, local context-literature, etc. as a tool of assessment during the teaching-learning process as well as during school hours.
